World Refugee Day
9 million refugees, 22 million internally displaced people, 1 day to focus on them. The UNHCR and Crossroads invite you to a concert in support of the World Refugee Day.
The UNHCR and Crossroads will host the Green Valley Youth Choir from Australia for a free, exclusive evening of music to spotlight the needs of refugees around the world.
The event will be held at Crossroads Village in the Gold Coast on June 20th at 7:30 pm. A reception will be held prior to the programme, beginning at 7:00 pm. For directions, click here.
Please RSVP by June 6th to worldrefugeeday@crossroads.org.hk.
You are also invited to attend the continuation of World Refugee Day at Crossroads the following day, Saturday, June 21st. You will be able to experience refugee life first-hand, browse the marketplace with handicrafts from a variety of cultures, taste unique and ethnic food, and join on-site tours and other activities around the Crossroads Village.
There will also be a special refugee film festival running throughout the day and into the evening, and the acclaimed singer/songwriter Helen Mottee will perform from her new album.
