Costa Rica
The Rotary Club of Kowloon North in Hong Kong has liaised with Crossroads in a joint effort to supply goods to victims of hurricane damage in Costa Rica. One 40' container was sent, packed with school desks and chairs, bunk beds, children's clothes and kitchen equipment.
Brazil
The drug Thalidomide, which caused tragic birth defects in the West years ago, is still freely available in Brazil and continues to have devastating results. One such victim, herself without legs, heads a charity to help equip a centre in Brazil for other Thalidomide sufferers. Crossroads is delighted to help furnish the centre.
