Help for a forgotten tribe
Despite being among the earliest inhabitants of the Philippines, the Aeta tribe suffers from some of the harshest discrimination in the country.
The life expectancy of the Aeta is a mere 17 years: only a handful makes it much past this age. Their population decreases each year as social and economic pressures take their toll. Our shipment will support a children’s home as well as educational, feeding and medical feeding programmes: in particular targeting malnourishment, illness, and the high mortality so prevalent among the Aeta. It will furnish a physician’s facility, an examination room, an emergency care unit and help support further long-term medical projects in this area of need.
