The nation of Georgia, bordering Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia, is home to breathtaking mountain scenery, a long and proud cultural heritage, and beautiful historical buildings. Yet, parts of the country are struggling badly after gaining independence from the Soviet empire, and 47% of the Georgian population lives below the poverty line. Life is hardest for those that live outside the cities. Many struggle day to day to make enough income to put food on the table.
We are shipping a container of medical goods and equipment that will help a mobile clinic service remote rural villages in Georgia that are cut off from essential medical services.
